Artist Statement:
Paintings of people have been one of Siskind's passions since childhood. The artist is open to private commissions for portraits and you may request a brochure with commission details. Siskind's public work is figurative, springing from mythological and cultural observations of all sides of the human condition: Love, loss, fear, anger, etc. She is a regionally recognized artist with work in permanent collections of three Indiana museums and was a recipient of the 2002-03 Creative Renewal Grant from the Arts Council of Indianapolis. Siskind's work has been exhibited in over fifty invitational and competitive group exhibitions and twelve one-person shows.
