Artist Statement:
Constance Edwards Scopelitis is a full-time portrait artist with studios in Indianapolis and Laguna Beach, CA. She has a fine arts degree from Indiana University and continued her formal training at the Art Students League in NYC. Between portraits, Scopelitis paints large-scale figurative works in oil on linen and canvas. The dream-like quality and surreal mood of these narrative paintings are in contrast to the precision and skill executed in the portrait realm. Constance is represented at Marion Meyer Contemporary in Laguna Beach, CA and Artbox Gallery in Indianapolis.
